About Ogbonna Precious Adanna
I am a mathematics and Science tutor with six years of teaching experience across different learning levels. I hold a degree in Applied Biochemistry and this has provided a strong science background and supports my ability to teach science subjects with depth and accuracy. I don't just teach, I ensure that my approach is well structured and focused on helping to meet learners' individual needs. I recognize that many learners struggle with calculation inclined subjects like mathematics, chemistry, physics not because they lack the ability but because some concepts are presented too quickly or without sufficient explanation. To address this, I break topics down into simpler steps and focus on helping learners understand concepts instead of just memorization. In mathematics, I focus on helping learners develop strong problem solving skills that builds their confidence. This helps them apply what they learn in examinations and practical situations.
Teaching Approach
I focus on helping the student understand the the basis of what they are learning including use of formulas and this discourages cramming. I use familiar situations to explain difficult concepts. I also do not joke with students' involvement. I encourage them to think aloud, ask questions and attempts lots of problems during classes. This helps me to identify difficulties early.
